CVE-2020-0199

Local information disclosure via TimeCheck use-after-free race

Published Jun 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Use-after-free in Android 10's TimeCheck.cpp allows local users with System privileges to disclose information through a race condition. TimeCheck::TimeCheckThread::threadLoop accesses memory after concurrent execution frees it because the thread lifetime is not properly synchronized. Exploitation requires System execution privileges but no user interaction; published sources do not identify the exposed information.
