CVE-2020-0144

Local information disclosure via unchecked HCI event length

Published Jun 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in the Android 10 Bluetooth stack allows local users to disclose process memory through a malformed HCI event. The HCI event dispatcher forwards undersized payloads to btm_proc_sp_req_evt without first enforcing the event type's minimum length. Exploitation requires compromised device firmware with System execution privileges; no user interaction is required.
