Information disclosure via unchecked NFC response length
Published Jun 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Android 10 NFC tag handling allows remote attackers to disclose process memory through a crafted NFC response. rw_i93_sm_format consumes response flags and an ISO 15693 tag UID before confirming that the response buffer contains the required bytes. Exploitation requires NFC proximity but no privileges or user interaction, and the reported consequence is limited to information disclosure.
