Local information disclosure via L2CAP length check
Published Mar 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Android 10's Bluetooth L2CAP system component allows local users with System privileges to disclose information. In l2c_rcv_acl_data in l2c_main.cc, the pre-connection packet path applies an incorrect length check and can read beyond the packet buffer. Exploitation requires local System execution privileges, needs no user interaction, and exposes information without reported modification or service interruption.
