CVE-2019-9493Network attack vector

Unauthenticated vehicle control via embedded admin credentials

Published Jan 15, 2020 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Hard-coded credentials in AutoMobility MyCar Controls before 3.4.24 on iOS and before 4.1.2 on Android allow remote attackers to control vehicles. The mobile app embeds administrator credentials that the service endpoint accepts instead of a target account's username and password. No account is required; the credentials permit retrieval of location data and commands such as remote start, stop, lock, and unlock.
