CVE-2019-9163Network attack vector

Code execution via untrusted downloaded XAML

Published Apr 1, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Code injection in March Networks Command Client before 2.7.2 allows remote attackers to execute code through crafted XAML objects. During connection initiation, the client downloads and executes XAML used to render interface content without rejecting executable content from a rogue service or interceptor. A rogue Command server, recorder, or man-in-the-middle position is required, and injected code runs with the rights of the user who launched the client.
