Credential disclosure via cleartext web transmission
Published Mar 11, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cleartext credential transmission in Moxa MGate gateways allows man-in-the-middle attackers to capture web login credentials. Affected web applications send credentials to the built-in web server without transport encryption, exposing them on the browser-to-device connection. The attacker must observe that network traffic; the published impact is credential disclosure, not device modification or service interruption.
