Weak cryptography in Moxa MGate MB3xxx firmware allows remote attackers to intercept passwords and gain administrative access. The firmware protects sensitive information with a weak cryptographic algorithm whose predictable variables expose encrypted password data. Exposure covers MB3170/MB3270 4.0 and earlier, MB3180 2.0 and earlier, MB3280/MB3480 3.0 and earlier, and MB3660 2.2 and earlier; exploitation requires access to intercept password traffic.
