Authenticated script execution via unneutralized Manager inputs
Published Jan 29, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Wowza Streaming Engine Manager 4.8.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute browser script. The Server Setup handler embeds customList[0].value inside initTableDataProperties() JavaScript without neutralization, while the login handler reflects host into an HTML error. Authentication to Engine Manager and a victim viewing affected Server Setup or login content are required; execution is confined to the victim's browser context.
