Information exposure in Debian and Ubuntu eXtplorer packages allows remote attackers to read server files over HTTP. The distribution Makefile patches make the /usr/ and /etc/extplorer/ system directories world-accessible through the web server. No authentication or user interaction is required; disclosed configuration or source files can reveal sensitive data, while code execution is only a potential downstream consequence.
