Unauthenticated content access via permissive workspace check
Published May 28, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Access bypass in Drupal Core 8.7.4 allows remote attackers to view or alter restricted content when the experimental Workspaces module is enabled. EntityAccess::bypassAccessResult combines workspace ownership with the bypass permission using a permissive OR, granting entity access when either condition is true. The exposed site must run the sole affected release with Workspaces enabled; the vendor reports no service-interruption impact.
