Local privilege escalation via UAC bypass
Published Jul 31, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Privilege escalation in Lenovo PC Manager before 2.8.90.11211 allows local users to execute arbitrary code with administrator privileges. Lenovo states that the flaw bypasses Windows User Account Control but has not published the affected component or operation that mishandles local input. Access as an authorized local user is required; successful exploitation elevates attacker-controlled code without the intended UAC protection.
