DLL search-path hijacking in Lenovo Installation Packages before 1.2.9.3 allows local users with administrative access to elevate privileges. The installation-time loader searches for a DLL in an attacker-writable location and loads a planted replacement into its elevated process. Exploitation requires existing administrative privileges and an installation in progress; software already installed is not exposed.
