Authentication bypass in Accellion File Transfer Appliance FTA_8_0_540 allows remote attackers to access protected appliance functions via hard-coded credentials. The appliance embeds reusable credentials in its software instead of unique per-instance secrets, allowing those values to satisfy authentication checks. No user interaction or prior account is required, and successful use can compromise appliance confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
