Restricted firmware-update access via configurable cloud hostname
Published Mar 10, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper host validation in WAGO PFC200 Firmware allows remote authenticated users to access restricted firmware-update commands. In versions 03.00.39(12), 03.01.07(13), and 03.02.02(14), cloud_connectivity.js accepts an administrator-supplied Wago Cloud hostname instead of enforcing wagocloud.azure-devices.net, while the device trusts generic Azure IoT Hub certificates. Administrator-level WBM access is required, and exploitation redirects the controller to an attacker-controlled Azure IoT Hub that the device accepts as trusted.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
