Information disclosure via sensitive URL parameters
Published Jan 13, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Sensitive-information exposure in IBM Guardium Data Encryption 3.0.0.2 allows attackers to read URL-borne secrets from retained artifacts. The affected web workflow places sensitive values in URL parameters, causing browsers, referrer headers, and server logs to retain them. IBM has not identified the affected endpoint or parameter; exploitation requires access to one of those retained URL records and exposes only the stored sensitive information.
