CVE-2019-4633Network attack vector

Information disclosure via permissive login CORS

Published Jan 28, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Information disclosure in IBM Security Verify Privilege Vault 10.7 allows remote attackers to read sensitive login data through CORS. The login endpoint applies an overly permissive cross-origin policy, allowing an untrusted web origin to read responses that the browser would otherwise isolate. Exploitation requires a user to visit attacker-controlled content while the browser can reach the vault; the documented impact is limited to sensitive-information exposure.
