CVE-2019-3867

Repository takeover via nonexpiring web sessions

Published Mar 18, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Insufficient session expiration in Red Hat Quay 2 and 3 allows attackers to reuse an acquired session to control or delete repositories. The web application fails to expire issued sessions, so an old session credential remains accepted for authorization. Access to a user's session is required, and reuse grants that user's repository permissions without fresh authentication.
