Authenticated script execution via stored heartbeat payload
Published Mar 13, 2020 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Stored XSS in Dell Wyse Management Suite before 1.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in victim browsers. The server persists attacker-controlled device-heartbeat data and renders it in management pages without neutralizing active content. Low-privileged authentication is required to plant the payload, and script runs in the application's origin only when a victim opens the submitted data.
