Local root escalation via symlinked MUNGE key path

Symlink following in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 and openSUSE Factory munge packages allows local users controlling munge to gain root. The root-run package installation or update script failed to reject a symbolic link at the MUNGE key path, so privileged file operations followed an attacker-controlled target. Exploitation requires control of the local munge account during a root-run package installation or update; affected versions are before 0.5.13-4.3.1 on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 and before 0.5.13-6.1 on openSUSE Factory.
