Stored script execution via option-tag breakout
Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026
Stored XSS in Sygnoos Popup Builder 3.49 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through a crafted popup title. The popup selector renders post_title inside an HTML option context without neutralizing quote and tag delimiters, so crafted markup closes the option and inserts a script element. A user who can create and publish a Popup Builder item can persist the payload, which runs in another user's browser when the page or post editor renders the popup selector.
