Application crash via oversized AVI buffer

Denial of service in WinAVI iPod/3GP/MP4/PSP Converter 4.4.2 allows local users to crash the application via a malformed AVI file. The Convert to iPhone AVI import path processes 6,000 bytes of repeated data without rejecting the oversized content, causing WinAVI.exe to terminate. The attacker must create and load the crafted file on the host; the demonstrated consequence is limited to an application crash.
