Published Mar 22, 2026 · Updated Mar 22, 2026
Denial of service in Nsasoft SpotAuditor 5.2.6 allows local users to crash the application via an oversized registration name. The registration dialog accepts a 300-character string in the Name field and processes it without adequate length validation, terminating the application when OK is selected. Exploitation requires local access to the Windows desktop interface and the registration workflow; the documented consequence is an application crash without confidentiality or integrity impact.
