Local crash via oversized Log directory value
Published Mar 22, 2026 · Updated Mar 22, 2026
Denial of service in COWON Systems jetCast Server 2.0 allows local users to crash the server through a crafted Log directory value. The configuration dialog accepts a 5,000-character string for Log directory without rejecting its excessive length, and startup processing then terminates the process. Access to the Windows graphical interface and interaction with Config, OK, and Start are required; the demonstrated consequence is a server-process crash.
