Authenticated database manipulation via category SQL injection
Published Mar 21, 2026 · Updated Mar 21, 2026
SQL injection in GreenCMS 2.0 allows remote authenticated users to read and alter database data through the administrative cat parameter. The PostsController index action reads cat from the GET request and passes it into category lookups that reach database queries without neutralizing injected SQL syntax. Access to the administrative posts route is required, and successful injection exposes data permitted to the application's database account.
