Published Mar 21, 2026 · Updated Mar 21, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in PCHelpWareV2 1.0.0.5 allows local users to crash the Viewer through an oversized Group value. The Group property accepts a 100-character payload and writes beyond its intended buffer when Ok is selected. The attacker needs interactive access to the Windows Viewer and must paste the payload into Properties; the demonstrated result is an application crash only.
