CVE-2019-25483Public exploit

Root command execution via unfiltered command substitution

Published Mar 11, 2026 · Updated Mar 11, 2026

Restricted-shell escape in Comtrend AR-5310 GE31-412SSG-C01_R10.A2pG039u.d24k allows local users to execute arbitrary commands. The router's command filter rejects several shell operators but leaves $() command substitution available inside arguments to allowed commands such as ping. Access to the restricted BusyBox shell is required; successful exploitation starts an unrestricted shell with the telnet daemon's root context.
