Browser script execution via unescaped newdb parameter
Published Feb 20, 2026 · Updated Feb 20, 2026
Reflected XSS in phpMoAdmin 1.1.5 allows remote attackers to run scripts in a user's browser through a crafted newdb value. The moadmin.php response inserts the GET newdb parameter into generated HTML without neutralizing script markup. Exploitation requires a user to open a crafted URL; the script executes in the phpMoAdmin origin with that user's browser privileges.
