CVE-2019-25449Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Browser script execution via unescaped JSON name

Published Feb 20, 2026 · Updated Feb 20, 2026

Reflected cross-site scripting in OrientDB 3.0.17 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a user's browser through a crafted POST. The /document/demodb/-1:-1 endpoint reflects the name value from a JSON document request without neutralizing embedded script tags. A victim must interact with the reflected response for the script to run, limiting the result to browser-context data access and actions available to that user.
