Browser script execution via reflected POST parameters
Published Feb 18, 2026 · Updated Feb 18, 2026
Reflected XSS in IPFire 2.21 Core Update 127 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in a user's browser through crafted POST data. The updatexlrator.cgi response returns the MAX_DISK_USAGE or MAX_DOWNLOAD_RATE value without neutralizing script markup. The payload runs only when a user interacts with the crafted request and the affected WebGUI response loads, limiting execution to that browser context.
