CVE-2019-25390Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator-context script execution via reflected interface parameters

Published Feb 16, 2026 · Updated Feb 16, 2026

Reflected XSS in Smoothwall Express 3.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser via crafted POST data. The interfaces.cgi handler returns unneutralized values from network-address, netmask, DNS, gateway, hostname, and MAC fields in its HTML response. Exploitation requires access to submit the administrative request and interaction by an authenticated administrator; script execution remains confined to that browser context.
