Stored XSS via unsanitized tunable parameter
Published Feb 15, 2026 · Updated Feb 15, 2026
Stored XSS in OPNsense 19.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute persistent scripts through the tunable parameter. The system_advanced_sysctl.php edit handler stores the POSTed tunable value and renders it without neutralizing executable markup. Access to the management interface is required, and a subsequent page view executes the payload in an authenticated user's browser.
