SYSTEM code execution via unquoted service path
Published Feb 6, 2026 · Updated Feb 6, 2026
Unquoted service path in Intelligent Security Systems SecurOS Enterprise 10.2 allows local users to execute code as LocalSystem. SecurosCtrlService registers C:\Program Files (x86)\ISS\SecurOS\securos_svc.exe without quotes, allowing Windows to resolve an attacker-planted executable first. Exploitation requires a local low-privileged account able to write to a searched parent path and trigger automatic service startup or a reboot.
