Unauthenticated system access via embedded service credentials
Published Jan 7, 2026 · Updated Jan 7, 2026
Hard-coded credentials in INIM Electronics Smartliving SmartLAN/G/SI 6.x and earlier allow remote attackers to gain system access. The Linux distribution image embeds fixed Telnet, SSH, and FTP credentials that normal device operations neither expose nor permit administrators to change. Network access to an affected device is sufficient to authenticate to these services and obtain unauthorized system access without user interaction.
