CVE-2019-25243Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root command execution via unsanitized diagnostic parameters

Published Dec 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025

OS command injection in FaceSentry 5.7.0, 5.7.2, and 6.4.8 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. pingTest.php passes strInIP directly into sudo ping through exec, while tcpPortTest.php inserts strInIP and strInPort into shell commands through system without neutralization. Access to the TestTools function and a valid session are required; successful injection grants root-level control of the access-control appliance.
