Unauthenticated live stream disclosure via animate.cgi
Published Dec 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025
Missing authentication in Rifatron DVR firmware 8.0 (000143) and earlier allows remote attackers to view live video snapshots. The animate.cgi endpoint accepts a channel number in its query string and returns sequential JPEG snapshots without validating a session. Network access to the DVR web service is sufficient; exposure is limited to viewing camera feeds, with no demonstrated write or service-interruption capability.
