Unauthenticated administrative access via client-side checks
Published Dec 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025
Authentication bypass in Smartwares HOME easy 1.0.9 allows remote attackers to access administrative web pages without credentials. The embedded web interface relies on JavaScript validation and redirection instead of server-side access control, so direct requests to named /web-en/ administrative endpoints expose protected functions and SQLite database location details. Network reachability to the device is sufficient; disabling JavaScript or requesting the endpoints directly grants access to sensitive system information and administrative functionality.
