Published Jun 7, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Moove Agency GDPR Cookie Compliance 4.0.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to reset all settings. The gdpr_cookie_compliance_reset_settings AJAX action accepts authenticated requests without a capability check and deletes the plugin's stored configuration. Any logged-in account can trigger the reset, erasing cookie-banner and consent-script settings without gaining broader WordPress privileges.
