Script execution via unescaped secret error response
Published Feb 26, 2023 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Reflected XSS in dro.pm fileman.php allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted secret parameter. The not-found error response inserts the secret query value into HTML without output encoding, while using database escaping only for SQL. A victim must follow the crafted request, and the maintainer states that the site uses neither cookies nor local storage, limiting accessible session state.
