SQL injection via unescaped id parameter
Published Jan 8, 2023 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
SQL injection in TWMap's pointdata2.php endpoint allows attackers to execute database statements through a crafted HTTP GET id value. The handler concatenates id directly into a PostgreSQL query, while the patch applies pg_escape_string before building the WHERE clause. Reachability requires access to the web endpoint; injected statements run with the database privileges available to the TWMap service.
