Unauthenticated file read via unchecked URI traversal
Published Dec 27, 2022 · Updated Nov 19, 2024
Path traversal in Ramsey Kant HTTP Server allows remote attackers to read files outside the document root through crafted request URIs. ResourceHost::getResource concatenates the configured baseDiskPath with the untrusted uri without first rejecting ../ sequences. Unauthenticated network access to the listening HTTP service is sufficient, and the consequence is limited to reading server-accessible files.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
