Remote code execution via crafted joinParty packet

Buffer overflow in Activision Infinity Ward Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 through 2019-12-11 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. PartyHost_HandleJoinPartyRequest copies data from a crafted, unencrypted joinParty packet without enforcing the destination buffer size, causing an overwrite. Knowledge of the client IP address is sufficient; the victim need not be in a game, and successful exploitation runs code on the victim machine.
