Stored script execution via undisclosed input handling
Published Apr 16, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Stored XSS in nine NETGEAR router and extender models allows remote authenticated users to inject browser-executed script. NETGEAR has not disclosed the affected management-page field, storage path, or missing output-encoding operation that causes the persisted input to execute. High-privileged administrative access from an adjacent network is required, and the script executes in another browser security context.
