Authenticated command execution via undisclosed input handling
Published Apr 16, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Command injection in NETGEAR D3600, D6000, and XR500 firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute commands over the local network. NETGEAR has not disclosed the affected management-interface endpoint, parameter, or unsafe command-construction operation. An authenticated user on an adjacent network can alter system state or interrupt service on D3600 and D6000 before 1.0.0.76 and XR500 before 2.3.2.32.
