CVE-2019-20624

Lock-screen disclosure of keyboard-learned words

Published Mar 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024

Information disclosure in S-Voice on Samsung Android 7.x and 8.x devices allows physically proximate attackers to read keyboard-learned words. The lock-screen S-Voice interface exposes words retained by the keyboard's learned-word store without first requiring device-unlock authentication. Physical access to a locked device is required, and the reported consequence is limited to learned-word disclosure rather than modification or service interruption.
