CVE-2019-2058Network attack vector

Remote memory disclosure via libAACdec bounds failure

Published Mar 15, 2020 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

An out-of-bounds read in libAACdec in Google Cloud Android 10 allows remote attackers to disclose memory via crafted AAC content. The decoder reads beyond a buffer boundary while processing attacker-controlled AAC data; Google has not disclosed the responsible routine or missing validation. Exploitation requires a user to process the content, and the documented consequence is memory disclosure without code execution or data modification.
