Out-of-bounds write in SMP1300-based Samsung mobile devices before September 2019 allows remote attackers to corrupt Shannon modem stack memory. The Shannon modem mishandles crafted RP-Originator/Destination address data and performs an out-of-bounds write that corrupts its stack. The network path requires no authentication or user interaction; public records do not disclose whether the corruption causes a crash, code execution, or another effect.
