Memory corruption via BIOSUB out-of-bounds write
Published Mar 24, 2020 · Updated Aug 5, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in the BIOSUB Trustlet on Samsung devices running Android 8.x or 9.0 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory. Samsung has not disclosed which BIOSUB operation accepts the untrusted input or how its bounds calculation permits the write. Exposure is limited to devices using TEEGRIS, and public records do not establish whether memory corruption causes a crash or code execution.
