Factory Reset Protection bypass via PUK blocking

Authentication bypass in Samsung mobile devices with Android N 7.x through P 9.0 allows attackers to bypass Factory Reset Protection via a SIM card. The setup flow accepts a SIM card after its PUK code is blocked and fails to enforce the Factory Reset Protection state. Physical access to the handset and a compatible SIM are required, enabling reuse of a reset device without the prior owner's protection.
