Factory Reset Protection bypass in Samsung mobile devices running Android 9.0 allows local users to activate a reset device via SamsungPay mini. Samsung has not published the validation failure inside SamsungPay mini that permits the protection check to be bypassed. The bypass requires local access to a reset Android 9.0 device and allows setup to proceed without the prior owner’s screen lock or Google Account credentials.
